INDICATIONS AND USAGE<\/strong><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

LUCIMITO is an adrenal cytotoxic agent indicated for the treatment of inoperable, functional or nonfunctional, adrenal cortical carcinoma. <\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/span><\/p>\n

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION<\/strong><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7 Initial dose: 2 g to 6 g orally daily, in three or four divided doses.  <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7 Increase dose incrementally to achieve a blood concentration of 14 to 20 mg\/L, or as tolerated. <\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/span><\/p>\n

Tablets: 500 mg\u00d7100 tablets<\/span><\/p>\n

WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS <\/strong><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7 Central Nervous System (CNS) Toxicity: Plasma concentrations exceeding 20 mcg\/mL are associated with a greater incidence of toxicity. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7 Adrenal Insufficiency: Institute steroid replacement as clinically indicated. Measure free cortisol and corticotropin (ACTH) levels to achieve optimal steroid replacement. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7 Embryo-Fetal Toxicity: Can cause fetal harm. Advise women of reproductive potential of the potential risk to a fetus and use of effective contraception. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7 Ovarian Macrocysts in Premenopausal Women: Advise women to seek medical advice if they experience gynecological symptoms such as vaginal bleeding and\/or pelvic pain. <\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/span><\/p>\n

ADVERSE REACTIONS <\/strong><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Common adverse reactions (\u226515%) include: anorexia, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea; depression, dizziness or vertigo; and rash.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/span><\/p>\n

DRUG INTERACTIONS <\/strong><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Adjust dosage of concomitant coumarin-type anticoagulants as needed.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/span><\/p>\n

USE IN SPECIFIC POPULATIONS <\/strong><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7 Lactation: Do not breastfeed.  <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7 Hepatic Impairment: Administer LUCIMITO with caution to patients with hepatic impairment. <\/span><\/p>\n

Storage <\/strong><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Store at 20\u2103 to 25\u2103 (68\u2109 to 77\u2109), excursions permitted between 15\u2103 and 30\u2103 (59\u2109 and 86\u2109) [see USP Controlled Room Temperature]. Protect from moisture. <\/span><\/p>\n
