Therefore, reduction of the dosage of sulfonylureas or insulin preparations should be considered to reduce the risk of hypoglycemia when used in combination with trelagliptin.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height:20px\"><span style=\"font-size:16px;color:#595959\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height:20px\"><span style=\"font-size:16px;color:#595959\"><strong>Acute Pancreatitis<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height:20px\"><span style=\"font-size:16px;color:#595959\">Postmarketing events of acute pancreatitis have been reported for trelagliptin and have been associated with other DPP-4 inhibitors. After initiation of trelagliptin, patients should be observed carefully for signs and symptoms of pancreatitis. that there are no clinically relevant effects of <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-top:2px;margin-right:27px;margin-left:23px\"><span style=\"font-size:16px;color:#595959\">glimepiride or metformin on style=\"margin-top:2px;margin-right:27px;margin-left:23px\"><span style=\"font-size:16px;color:#595959\">Effects of trelagliptin on other medical products<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-top:2px;margin-right:27px;margin-left:23px\"><span style=\"font-size:16px;color:#595959\">In vitro studies suggest that trelagliptin does not inhibit nor induce CYP 450 isoforms at <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-top:2px;margin-right:27px;margin-left:23px\"><span style=\"font-size:16px;color:#595959\">concentrations achieved with the recommended dose of 100 mg trelagliptin (see section 5.2).<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-top:2px;margin-right:27px;margin-left:23px\"><span style=\"font-size:16px;color:#595959\">Trelagliptin is a substrate of P-glycoprotein and in vitro studies showed slight inhibition of transport <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-top:2px;margin-right:27px;margin-left:23px\"><span style=\"font-size:16px;color:#595959\">of digoxin through P-glycoprotein (IC50 value : 500 \u00b5mol\/L or higher) or showed inhibition of <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-top:2px;margin-right:27px;margin-left:23px\"><span style=\"font-size:16px;color:#595959\">uptake of metformin, an organic cationic transporter-2 (OCT2) substrate (IC50 value : 55.9 <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-top:2px;margin-right:27px;margin-left:23px\"><span style=\"font-size:16px;color:#595959\">\u00b5mol\/L).<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-top:2px;margin-right:27px;margin-left:23px\"><span style=\"font-size:16px;color:#595959\">In clinical studies, trelagliptin had no clinically relevant effect on the pharmacokinetics of caffeine, <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-top:2px;margin-right:27px;margin-left:23px\"><span style=\"font-size:16px;color:#595959\">tolbutamide, dextromethorphan, midazolam, metformin, or
