INDICATIONS AND USAGE<\/strong><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

LuciSora is a kinase inhibitor indicated for the treatment of <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7 Unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7 Advanced renal cell carcinoma.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7 Locally recurrent or metastatic, progressive, differentiated thyroid carcinoma refractory to radioactive iodine treatment.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/span><\/p>\n

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION <\/strong><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7 400 mg (2 tablets) orally twice daily without food.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7 Treatment interruption and\/or dose reduction may be needed to manage adverse reactions.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/span><\/p>\n

DOSAGE FORMS AND STRENGTHS <\/strong><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Tablets: 200 mg\u00d7120 tablets<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/span><\/p>\n

CONTRAINDICATIONS <\/strong><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7 LuciSora is contraindicated in patients with known severe hypersensitivity to sorafenib or any other component of LuciSora.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7 LuciSora in combination with carboplatin and paclitaxel is contraindicated in patients with squamous cell lung cancer.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/span><\/p>\n

WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS <\/strong><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7 Cardiovascular Events: Consider temporary or permanent discontinuation of LuciSora. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7 Bleeding: Discontinue LuciSora if needed. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7 Hypertension: Monitor blood pressure weekly during the first 6 weeks and periodically thereafter. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7 Dermatologic Toxicities: Interrupt and\/or decrease dose. Discontinue for severe or persistent reactions, or if Stevens-Johnson syndrome and toxic epidermal necrolysis is suspected. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7 Gastrointestinal Perforation: Discontinue LuciSora. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7 QT Prolongation: Monitor electrocardiograms and electrolytes in patients at increased risk for ventricular arrhythmias. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7 Drug-Induced Liver Injury: Monitor liver function tests regularly; discontinue for unexplained transaminase elevations. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7 Embryo-Fetal Toxicity: LuciSora may cause fetal harm. Advise patients of the potential risk to a fetus and to use effective contraception. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7 Impairment of TSH suppression in DTC: Monitor TSH monthly and adjust thyroid replacement therapy in patients with thyroid cancer. <\/span><\/p>\n

ADVERSE REACTIONS <\/strong><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The most common adverse reactions (\u226520%) for LuciSora are diarrhea, fatigue, infection, alopecia, hand-foot skin reaction, rash, weight loss, decreased appetite, nausea, gastrointestinal and abdominal pains, hypertension, and hemorrhage.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7 Avoid strong CYP3A4 inducers. <\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7 Lactation: Advise women not to breastfeed. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7 Females and Males of Reproductive Potential: Verify pregnancy status prior to initiation of LuciSora. <\/span><\/p>\n

Storage <\/strong><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Store at 20\u2103 to 25\u2103 (68\u2109 to 77\u2109), excursions permitted between 15\u2103 and 30\u2103 (59\u2109 and 86\u2109) [see USP Controlled Room Temperature]. Protect from moisture. <\/span><\/p>\n
