INDICATIONS AND USAGE<\/strong><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

LuciApro is an endothelin receptor antagonist indicated for the treatment of hypertension in combination with other antihypertensive drugs, to lower blood pressure in adult patients who are not adequately controlled on other drugs. Lowering blood pressure reduces the risk of fatal and non-fatal cardiovascular events, primarily strokes and myocardial infarctions.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/span><\/p>\n

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION <\/strong><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 The recommended dosage of LuciApro is 12.5 mg orally once daily, with or without food.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/span><\/p>\n

Tablets: 12.5 mg\u00d730 tablets<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 Pregnancy.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 Hypersensitivity.<\/span><\/p>\n

WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS <\/strong><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 ERAs cause hepatotoxicity and liver failure. Measure serum aminotransferase levels and total bilirubin prior to initiation of treatment and repeat periodically during treatment and as clinically <\/span><\/p>\n

indicated. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 Fluid retention may require intervention.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 Decreases in hemoglobin.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 Decreased sperm counts.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/span><\/p>\n

ADVERSE REACTIONS <\/strong><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Most common adverse reactions (more frequent than placebo and \u2265 2% in LuciApro-treated patients) are edema\/fluid retention and anemia. <\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/span><\/p>\n

USE IN SPECIFIC POPULATIONS <\/strong><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 Lactation: Advise not to breastfeed.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/span><\/p>\n

Storage <\/strong><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Store at 20\u2103 to 25\u2103 (68\u2109 to 77\u2109), excursions permitted between 15\u2103 and 30\u2103 (59\u2109 and 86\u2109) [see USP Controlled Room Temperature]. Protect from moisture. <\/span><\/p>\n
